MacX Free TS Video Converter can be used to convert TS files. There are two versions of this app. The free one (the one I am reviewing here) supports 30 different video codecs and 20 audio codecs, while the developers claim that the "advanced" edition supports up to 370 different codecs for video. The free one will only let you open a handful of formats, including TS (transport streams). If you open a file that is not supported, you will get a nag screen telling you to upgrade. Once you have loaded your TS files into the application, you can convert them into a variety of different formats.
The free version has support for H.264, MPEG-4, FLV, DivX, XviD and MOV. There are different tabs at the bottom of the screen where you can choose the desired format and change the conversion settings. If you have a Blackberry, iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch device, you will be glad to know that there are several different conversion profiles available for those devices.
In conclusion, this is a very specific converter. If you need to convert TS files to the aforementioned formats and don't need a video editor or any advanced features, this app will probably work just fine for you.
