This utility is exactly what its name implies: a program for shutting down your Mac. With its help, you can schedule system shutdown at any time and/or date you like. Mac Shutdown might prove to be of good use if you want to leave your computer while it's completing a given task (like downloading a large file) and wish to configure it to shut down after a certain amount of time.
The application comes with easy-to-configure settings and features a comprehensive help manual. Hence, you won't need much computer experience in order to work with this utility.
In order to schedule a shutdown, you first need to select the preferred options from the Settings window of the program. You can choose between multiple execution methods (on a certain date, once a download is complete, etc. Once you finish configuring the settings, click the "Close" button, you can leave your Mac unattended and let the app get the job done.
In my testing, the program worked flawlessly and didn't use many CPU resources while running in the background.
However, my only issue with this app is that you can find cheaper solutions for scheduling Mac shutdown tasks.
Still, Mac Shutdown offers you many advantages and comes with a reasonable price. It's up to you to decide if it's worth buying it for your Mac or use one of the cheaper alternatives.
