M4PConverter

M4PConverter is an application that allows users to convert their iTunes music in a choice of either MP3 or AAC audio formats.

It does this by installing a virtual CD burner which automates the conversion process. The utility is quite intuitive to use due to its compact interface design.

Converting your iTunes tracks requires 4 simple steps. Run iTunes, choose one of your playlists and burn it to a disc. In the Burn Settings, select the newly installed virtual CD (M4PtoMP3) with the Audio CD as the Disc Format. Press Burn and M4PConverter will import all the playlist tracks within its layout.

The application displays multiple song details including name, time, artist, album, status and the time required to convert. Playback support is also available. This makes it possible to listen to the track immediately after converting it. With this tool, you can even edit audio tags as well as add artwork.

From the program Preferences panel, users can select the format (MP3 or AAC) and output folder where the files will be placed after converting them.
