LockDocs - Security Master is a simple application that lets you protect private information. The tool offers to encrypt files and folders so that the information inside them can't be disclosed to unauthorized users. In addition, the utility allows you to organize protected data into categories for easy management.

The first time you open the program, you are asked to define a master password and a code word to help you recover the password in case you forget it. However, the encryption code can be changed at any moment from within the application – all you need to do is enter the old password and confirm the new combination of keys. Protecting sensitive information is done easily, simply by loading the confidential files and folders you wish to secure. For optimal security results, you need to close the applications using the files you want to protect. Optionally, you can ask the program to delete the files from the original location so you can access them exclusively from within LockDocs Security Master's protected view. The utility organizes the encrypted items by file categories, so you can browse for certain data more easily. Furthermore, you can use the search function in order to identify a specific file faster.

In short, the program is designed to secure the content of private files and folders. Unfortunately, you can't open the secured files and folders unless you upgrade to the full version of the app. This severe drawback makes the free version merely a demonstration of how the program could help you in protecting confidential data.
