Living Legends: Ice Rose developed by 4Friends Games brings you the story of a courageous woman who embarks on a journey alongside her loved one, novelist Edward Grand. Your objective is to help him investigate a mysterious case in the city of Rosemount and gather material for his new book.
You start your adventure separately, as Edward is already in Rosemount. As soon as you arrive at the town's boarder, you begin your investigation by exploring the scenes and solving puzzles. The storyline is intriguing and keeps you glued to your desk with its interesting plot twists.
Another aspect I like is that the hidden object mini-games scenes as well as the locations you explore look very impressive. They were nicely drawn by the graphic designers behind this game.
Only two things bother me about this puzzle game: it requires a restart in order to apply display settings changes and the cinematics don't play properly (even though there's a dialogue between characters, there's no sound content available; it simply displays the artworks and text description on the bottom of the main screen).
Nevertheless, it's worth buying this hidden object game for your Mac if you're into solving this type of puzzles on your spare time. The app provides you with many challenges, has nice graphics, and comes with a very reasonable price.
- Captivating plot
- Nicely-drawn graphics
- Lets you choose between three difficulty levels
- Automatically saves your progress
- You can create multiple player profiles
- You need to restart the app in order to apply display settings changes
- Poor quality cinematics
