LittleLink is a Mac utility that provides you with a quick and easy way to shorten URLs. This program might prove to be of good use to people who don't wish to share long links, like the URLs for Google searches, and require a simple solution for shrinking the Internet addresses that they copy to their clipboards.

The application lives on your Menu Bar, is very simple to use, and runs smoothly, without slowing down the performance of your system. Furthermore, it comes with an option to automatically shrink any link you copy to your clipboard and allows you to choose the preferred URL shortening service from a list.

Another advantage is that you can manage an Exclusions list. You can enter the names of the domains you don't want LittleLink to alter.

In my testing, the app worked great and immediately shrunk any URL I copied to my clipboard. After the program altered my link, it automatically copied the result to my clipboard.

The one thing that differentiates this utility from the online service which is being provided by Google (Google URL Shortener) is that LittleLink automatically shrinks the URLs you copy to your clipboard. Also, a feature I'd add to this program would be the support for batch processing.

In my opinion, it isn't worth installing this free app on your computer. You can use the Google online service for URL shortening without paying a buck.
