LilyView is a straightforward application for viewing images. You can set the program as your default image viewer. In other words, you don't need to first open the utility, load the pictures, and then display them sequentially. You can skip these steps, since all you need to do is click on the image file and the picture will be displayed instantly on your screen. However, browsing through folders is also supported.
The tool comes with a simple, yet not very modern interface. It allows you to view the images in plain sight, without any displayed controls that may prevent you from seeing the whole picture. The utility supports the most popular image formats. What's great about this program is that you can set it as a default viewer for your favorite file types only. Such an option is rarely met in similar apps, which most of the times put a viewing monopole on all image types. It is not the case with LilyView, which can be configured to open specific image formats – the disabled image types are free to be displayed with other software viewers.
The displaying options are few, limited to zooming and rotating the images towards left or right. The tasks are performed naturally, with touchpad gestures on touch-screen supporting devices. Still, you may find it difficult to use the app on a classic computer. The lack of displayed buttons compels you to manage the program exclusively with keyboard support. more
