It goes without saying that more or less all common video and audio formats are also supported and ready to be played for free. In addition, the program enhances your movie experience by means of easily-manageable features designed to increase the playback quality.

The application comes with an attractive and exquisite interface. If you get bored with the blue color provided by default, you can pick up another color out of the three additional skins provided. To preserve an uncluttered window, some buttons become visible only when you hover the mouse over the surface. Thus, there is a dedicated button for enabling the video's subtitle, one for adjusting the image in terms of colors and contrast, and a special button for controlling the sound.

The Preferences window allows you to dive deeply into much more subtle and refined settings. This way, you have the ability to change the aspect ratio to standard or custom preview dimensions. Furthermore, you can reduce or completely remove the black stripes appearing in some movies, and you can choose to watch a movie in full screen. When it comes to audio settings, the options are various, as you are allowed to output the sound to different audio systems and channels. Unfortunately, it doesn't provide an audio equalizer for finer audio adjustments. In addition, the subtitles appearance is highly customizable in terms of color, font style, and position on the screen. Still, I couldn't help noticing that the program lacks the option to synchronize image and imported subtitles, a feature that would be of great help in fixing a possible delay between these video-related issues.

The program runs well, without errors or blockages when playing high-definition video files. Furthermore, I was pleased to notice some additional functions that few similar tools provide. In my opinion, an important feature is the ability to play back movies saved in ISO format, without a necessity to create a virtual disc supported by your player. There is also a series of features that you may consider more or less important, like the power management for laptop batteries, the multilingual menu support, or the automatic playback at disc insertion, to name a few.
