You don't need to have the same version of Kindle 2 installed twice but with different versions. New updates are required to fix bugs and enjoy new features implemented by the developers. Therefore, if you have versions of the same software, uninstall the oldest one and then leave the current version as it will do no good to have them both installed at the same time and it will only create confusion and more problems. Always download the latest version of the software to make sure that everything is updated and you enjoy the latest features.
