Jiggler is a simple application for Mac users who wish to prevent their machines from going to sleep mode or from displaying a screensaver on the monitor. You can work with this program whenever you want your computer to complete a certain task while keeping your CPU from falling asleep.
The app automatically jiggles your mouse on the screen at any interval of time you need and whenever your CPU usage reaches a certain value or a writable disk is mounted. There's also an option to disable the mouse jiggle if a certain application is active or you run your PC on battery power only.
An advantage of Jiggler is that you can set the tool to change the position of your mouse pointer for a specified interval of time and keep your PC awake. Afterwards, the program shuts down and lets your Mac go to sleep mode.
I also like the fact that you can configure the application to move your mouse whenever a selected program is launched. For instance, if iTunes is playing music while your away from the desk, Jiggler prevents the PC from sleeping and you can listen to your songs.
To conclude, Jiggler proves to be a smart addition to my collection of programs. The app is very easy to handle, runs quietly in the background without using a large amount of CPU resources, and comes with no price tag.
