JDarkRoom is a simple and intuitive application that allows users to edit their text files in full-screen. While at first it may look a bit austere, it does, in fact, provide a most effective writing environment. With JDarkRoom, you can focus on your writing task, without the visual interference of any other application.
Considering its focus on minimalism, the application is surprisingly flexible. Users can easily look-up words within the text, view the total number of characters, words and lines. JDarkRoom will periodically backup the document, so that you won't lose your work. Change the font family, size, color of the foreground, selection foreground, caret, background and selection background; this way you can have the settings most suitable to your eyes.
The utility can convert your text into another format via a converter; it features a built-in tool for converting text content to HTML snippets.
A few other settings are available that allow users to disable text deletion, convert tab to spaces, inherit indentation after newline, enable case insensitive search and more.
