iPhoto to Disk is a utility that lets you easily export iPhoto photos. As any user of Apple's iPhoto knows, it can be a real pain in the neck to export an entire library or a selection of events or albums from iPhoto. iPhoto to Disk is a nifty application that makes that task incredibly easy. It will display a list of all your albums and events, sorted by date. You can check the albums or events that you want to export and change the settings that will determine how they will be exported. There are a few settings available and these are located on the right pane, whereas the list of albums is on the left pane.
After you have checked the albums that you want to export, you can tell the application what folder hierarchy you want it to use, customize the name of your photos, and whether you want to export both movies and photos from each album or event, or just photos or videos. As you may know, iPhoto saves both original and edited versions of your pictures and this application can be configured to export both versions or only the originales or edited photos. Photos can also be converted to other formats after they have been exported within the application. The supported formats are JPG, PNG AND TIFF.
I like that iPhoto to Disk presents you with information about each album before you export it. There is a snapshot of the albums' cover photos, and information such as album size, number of pictures and dates in which the photos were taken. It even lets you preview the photos from within the application.
