iObserve makes your preparation of astronomical observations a breeze. It gathers automatically and easily all the information you need when observing the sky with small and big telescopes. It has been built from the ground up by a former support astronomer in one of the ESO observatory.
Features:
- Easily resolve an object with SIMBAD,
- Find automatically the closest Landolt, UKIRT and UVESPOP (spectro)photometric standard stars!
- Download the SDSS, DSS and 2MASS finding charts,
- Display the object's equatorial, celestial or galactic coordinates in different epochs and units,
- Draw airmass curves of objects for about 90 builtin observatories on Earth,
- Draw simultaneously multiple airmass curves for comparison,
- Track the airmass curves along with the Hour Angle, Azimuth and Paralactic Angle,
- Get the table of the selected objects sorted according to their time of minimum airmass,
- See the Moon's airmass curve in place, and its minimum separation to any object,
- Access Moon's coordinates, age and illumination fraction accross the night,
- Customize the observing night of your the airmass curve as much as you want, even if you observe during the day!
- Slide easily the night date to match future's observing dates,
- Access the ViziR catalogue pages, and ADS abstract pages,
- Access automatically the object aliases, magnitudes, and NASA ADS references,
- Get the time and length of the nights for 4 different twilights limits,
- Perform searches in the object's bibliographic references,
- Access CDS Portal, NED and Wikisky pages of an object, as well as Wikipedia and map of an observatory.
