ImTOO MP4 Converter 6.5

ImTOO MP4 Converter is a single-format video converter. It is a commercial application that can help you convert pretty much any video file into MP4 format. The codecs used for video encoding are MPEG-4 and H.264, but WMV, DivX and MPEG-2 also are supported. ImTOO MP4 Converter supports the most popular video formats as input. I personally tested it with MKV, MP4, and MOV files, and they all opened just fine.

Graphically, the user interface resembles that of its Windows counterpart. It has the exact same design, but the switch to Mac didn't cause any problems, unlike what I usually see in other brands of converters. Although similar to the Windows interface, this app's interface doesn't look bad at all.

There are a few features that I was expecting from this app that I did not see. For example, it is missing a video editor and there doesn't seem to be a way to crop or trim video. On the other hand, there are quite a few conversion profiles, a video preview window and you can even take snapshots of your videos and save them to JPG files.

All in all, ImTOO MP4 Converter works very well. It supports quite a few input formats and it can convert those into MPEG-4 and H.264 files that will play great on an array of multimedia playback devices. But it lacks some features that you'd expect a $35 app to have.
