ImTOO DVD to iPhone Converter is a commercial DVD ripper. It allows you to convert your DVD movies into video files that can be played by the iPhone natively. The supported output formats are H.264, MPEG-4, and MOV for video and MP3, WAV, AIFF, AAC M4A, and WAV for audio.
To load your DVD movie, all you have to do is click the round orange button at the top-left part of the screen, which will ask you to select the drive you want to use. When you do that, the application will scan your DVD automatically and find all the titles it contains. You can then select them all or some of them and choose the format that you want to convert them into. You can convert different titles into different formats if you want to. There is also support for subtitle hard-coding, so if you select a subtitle for one of your titles, it will be embedded on the video stream and you won't be able to disable it.
In terms of performance, ImTOO DVD to iPhone Converter works very well. It is very fast, too. In my testing, I ripped a single DVD title into an H.264 file, and it looked very good. I didn't see any problems with the quality of the audio, video or subtitles.
All in all, this is a nice ripper. But there are a few features that it is missing, like a video editor and a trimmer and cropper. At $35.95, I'd expect a ripper to at least have those features.
