iMacsoft MPEG to DVD Converter

iMacsoft MPEG to DVD Converter 3.0

This application is designed to help you create DVDs out of MPEG files.

This application is designed to help you create DVDs out of MPEG files. The application has the ability to create DVD movies, DVD folders, and ISO files.
The program comes with a nice interface which is aimed at being modern and attractive, and yet it seems to be rather common and dull. What is more, the icons representing specific functions are not very clear, so that you find it hard to guess the tasks they are related to - namely, if you aren't careful enough, you may wipe the list of imported files by accident, thinking that you are about to go into the advanced settings module. However, once you become familiar with the tool's appearance, you will find no problems using it. You have the ability to create DVD menus, but the list of templates provided is rather short – therefore, you are limited to ten profiles to choose from. However, the good thing is that you can change the background image and add a favorite track as background music.

The utility comes with a built-in video editor, but the only function provided is that of trimming a section of the file. Other basic editing features, such as cropping, rotating, or adjusting the image brightness and contrast are non-existent, while the possibility to add special effects and watermarks is out of the question. Yet, you have the chance to change the aspect ratio, resize the file, and select the video quality.

In short, the program is poorly featured, and the price is unbelievably high considering the options provided. Yet, you may give it a try if you want to create ordinary DVDs and the money spent is not a problem.
