iFunBox is an incredibly useful utility for iOS users. It lets you completely manage your devices without the need to use iTunes at all.
Other than installing applications, iFunBox also lets you browse your device's file structure and to transfer books, files, movies, and even ringtones from and to your device. There isn't a dedicated section for music, but with a little knowledge of where the music is stored on your device, you might be able to transfer some tunes as well.
If there was something I would add to this app it would be some way to see information about the files. There simply is no way to see how big a file is from within the application. You have to transfer it first and then check its properties using Finder.
In short, this free, cross-platform utility has saved me a lot of time in the past, and it continues to do so. I think it is one of the most important apps that I have on my Mac and if you ever need to manage data on your iDevice, you might as well give it a try.
