Higosoft SWF Converter for Mac is an application which helps you convert SWF files to other video or audio formats, such as AVI, FLV, MPEG, MOV, and more.
With an intuitive interface, the program provides two options: converting files directly from the Internet or from your computer.

In order to convert from the Internet, you just press ‘Grab SWF’ and a new window opens; here you need to specify the link to your file. You have two alternatives: to download the file or to convert it directly with the Higosoft application. However, it doesn’t work; I received an error message every time I tried to do it.

Regarding the second option, that of converting files from your computer, the tool provides the drag-and-drop feature. Once the file is selected, you can preview it, and at the same time, you get information related to its size and the Flash version with which the frame rate was created. The program has the ability to crop part of the whole dimension, which may be considered an advantage for covering part of the movie. In addition, you may add an image watermark which can be customized in terms of transparency and positioning on the screen. According to the chosen format for conversion, you can set the resolution, the bitrate, and the frame rate. What’s more, you can cut the sound completely from a video.

The program guides you in choosing the right output format, since the conversion categories are provided both in terms of formats and devices. The list of devices is very helpful in case you have a phone and you don’t know its supported formats. But any conversion you will do, you get a watermark in the middle of the screen, which is actually the only restriction of the trial version.

Higosoft SWF Converter for Mac does indeed what its title announces, but working with this tool is a bit difficult; for instance, in case you want to convert only part of the file, you can’t set the conversion to stop at a certain point; the only option is to stop it manually. And regarding the price, it seems to be not affordable.
