Health Assistant is a simple Menu Bar application that tells you when it's time for a break from work. The program lets you choose the type of work and break program you're having, doesn't slow down the performance of your Mac while running on your Menu Bar, and is free.
This utility lets you choose between five work profiles: No Breaks, Work Hard, Normal, Often Breaks, and Break Now. Furthermore, you can select the preferred amount of time you wish to spend on a break: None, 3 Hours, 1 Hour, 30 or 10 minutes. The application will display on its main menu window the amount of time you have left until or from your break.
Health Assistant also provides you with detailed statistics regarding the amount of time you spent working and taking breaks. This feature might also come in handy to freelancers when calculating fees.
To me, this program offers a very small amount of advantages. For instance, you cannot enter your preferred interval of time for breaks. Another disadvantage is that the program doesn't play a notification sound or display a message to remind you that it's time for a break or recess is over.
Even though Health Assistant comes without a price tag, I still don't think it's worth installing it on your Mac. You can plenty of other programs that provide you with more features and come with a reasonable price or for free.
