Gifted is a program for Mac that enables you to turn your favorite video files into animated GIFs with just a few clicks. This application might come in handy if you're planning to use the resulted GIF as an avatar on a certain website, banner ad on your personal webpage, etc.
The app works with video formats, such as MOV, AVI, and MP4, supports the drag-and-drop action, and processes the input files within moments. After the conversion process is complete, the program automatically opens the output directory so that you can check if the results match your needs.
Nevertheless, the application lacks some important advanced output settings. You can't set the proper clip range (comes in handy if you don't plan converting the entire video file to GIF), frame delay, resolution, etc.
Another thing I didn't like about this program was the fact that it didn't offer an option to change the destination folder. The app creates a Gifted folder within Pictures directory and automatically saves all GIFs at that location.
Cutting a long story short, Gifted is a conversion tool that provides you with a very simple way to convert videos to GIFs. The app is easy to handle, offers quality results, and comes without a price tag. However, I'd suggest you to try other video to GIF converters if you require advanced output settings.
