I want to capture frames from a DVD playing on my iMac running Mac OS X v10.6.8. Will Gallery Grabber accomplish this or does it only work for webpages? My objective is to print frames from a DVD.

No, Gallery Grabber QED will not capture still from your DVD. The software is used exactly for what you've mentioned: web galleries. It doesn't have the possibility to save frames from DVDs, however, there is another solution. Install VLC Media Player and load your DVD and then go to Video > Take Snapshot and the software will save still of frames to the desired location. You can change this setting from the settings menu.
