This program comes as an alternative to your default Web browser for the Facebook chat service. The utility comes with a nicely-designed and user-friendly interface, automatically saves your messages, allows you to share various types of data, and much more.

The first thing you need to do after launching the app on your Mac is to enter your Facebook account credentials. Afterwards, you can start sending messages to your friends, sharing URLs, and sending pictures or videos.

Another good aspect is that you can mute conversations if needed. This feature might prove to be of good use if you don't want to take part in a chat between multiple users but don't want to leave the actual group talk.

In my testing, the program worked flawlessly. It didn't slow down the performance of my Mac and worked fast.

The one thing I'd add to this utility would be an option to access and use the app from the Menu Bar. To be more exact, a new icon would be added to the status bar; every time you would click over the icon, it would reveal the main window of the program. There are countless programs that offer you this feature.

However, it's worth trying this free app on your Mac if the aforementioned aspect doesn't mean much to you.
