Flareget is intended for managing file downloads. Its interface is similar to those of other similar tools. However, the similarity is not only on the outside but also “under the hood”. In this respect, the tool uses a widely used method by which a file is downloaded in several pieces, in order to allow using multiple connection threads simultaneously.
There are various ways by which you can start a new download job. For instance, you can add the desired file’s URL. However, the easiest way is by enabling integration with several Internet browsers, including Opera, IE, Mozilla Firefox, Edge, Safari and Google Chrome.
The tool helps you manage your downloads by automatically sorting them in categories according to their file type. Similarly, it allows filtering them according to their status: Running, Paused, Failed, Canceled and Completed.
Flareget has various convenient features, as it is the case of a YouTube grabber, which can strip the real URL of the intended video. To manage bandwidth in such a way that does not interfere with other Internet activities, there is a scheduler that allows automatically starting downloads at the set time. Another possibility is to adjust the number of concurrent downloads or file segments.
Just like many other similar managers, Flareget lets you pause downloads and resume them later, which even works when a job is accidentally interrupted. However, this possibility does not include downloads from FTP sites. more
