Info updated on:

This program is exactly what its name suggests: a utility for locating the empty directories from your Mac. The application might prove to be of good use if you need to easily reclaim disk space on your computer or organize your directories more efficiently.

Find Empty Folders brings you a user-friendly interface where all you need to do is to drag-and-drop the directories you wish to scan. The application will then provide you with the results you need and you can send the empty folders (if available) to the Trash tool. If the scan results list is empty, it means that no empty directories were found in the selected partition or folder.

The program also provides you with an option to not search within invisible folders. By enabling this feature, you decrease the amount of time you wait for the results. Plus, you might delete by accident a system folder that's being hidden for a good reason and damage the good performance of your system.

My only problem with this utility is that it doesn't offer you an option to permanently delete the selected empty folders. You can only send them to Trash.

All in all, the program works 100% and comes without a price. You should give it a try if you ever need to immediately find and delete empty directories on your Mac.
