EZeye
Application in video surveillance area. It supports products of many manufacturers by embracing following features.
EZeye is a video surveillance utility for your Mac. It allows you to add up to several camera sources and monitor them in real time.
Setting up EZeye couldn't be any simpler. When you first start the application, you will see an empty grid which will hold your video feeds. Clicking on the "+" button will bring up a small window where you can enter the connection details of your camera. You can even add cameras that require a password to connect, and you can specify the port of the connection as well.
After you have added your camera feeds, you can choose how many you can see at the same time from a dropdown menu at the top of the screen. The four (or quad) camera view is probably the best one for small computer screens. On the left part of the window, you will see information about the selected camera.
I like that you can record video from your camera feeds and play it back later. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get this to work. I started recording a camera several times, but the recordings never showed up on the recordings list.
In short, EZeye is a nice app if you need to set up a surveillance system with IP cameras. It has video recording capabilities and multiple views.
