EtreCheck is a program that provides you with detailed information regarding your system's configuration and helps you identify potential issues on your Mac. This application features a straightforward interface, immediately scans your system, and provides you with a complete report which can be printed directly from its main window.
Before scanning your system for errors, the application lets you select the type of problem you're encountering on your Mac (system running slow, computer is restarting, etc.). Basically, you need to enter details or select one of the profiles of the issues you're having on your system, the reasons which led you to use EtreCheck on your Mac. I'm still unsure how entering these details helps the app identify potential issues as the program displays the same report, no matter which profile you select.
The offered information is nicely organized into groups, like Hardware Information, Kernel Extensions, System Information, etc. On the right side of each category name you will see a question mark symbol. By clicking it, you will reveal additional info regarding the group and how the offered details might help you solve any system issues.
You can copy the entire report to your clipboard and paste it within other Mac applications. Furthermore, the program also lets you print the offered info directly from its interface, export it as a RTF file or share it via email. more
