EtreCheck is a program that provides you with detailed information regarding your Mac. This application comes in handy whenever you're dealing with system problems and wish to upload a complete report with its configuration to Apple Support Communities.

After you launch the utility, it automatically starts scanning your system and fetches any information regarding hardware components, OS X version, Kernel extensions, startup items, and many others. You can either copy to Clipboard the contents of the offered system report or you can export it to a RTF file on your local drives for later.

Another good aspect is that the program lets you print your system configuration info directly from EtreCheck's interface.

Furthermore, the new version of this Mac utility comes with additional features. EtreCheck now brings you info regarding your battery health and offers you direct access to an Apple webpage containing your Mac specifications.

To sum things up, EtreCheck is a simple yet helpful application that offers you a comprehensive report of your system configuration. The program comes with a straightforward interface, uses a small amount of CPU resources while scanning the system for info, and is free of charge.
