Escape The Emerald Star is a nice hidden-object game in which you will explore an abandoned cruise ship in search of clues to help you escape. Every location will have a list of objects to find. Some of the objects will be listed in a tricky way and they are pretty well conceived, so it's really difficult to spot them. There are also score penalties for random clicking, so the game is clearly intended for advanced players. If you have trouble in finding an object, you can use the hints, which are unlimited but cost you a considerable number of points when you use them. They also take some time to recharge.
The main mode is timed and it is divided in levels that represent different parts of the ship. Every location has two hidden anchors. If you find the 50 hidden anchors you will reveal an extra game mode. You will also be able to unlock a third mode, which will allow you to play all the locations in any order. There are lots of achievements and bonuses that you can get by playing the game under certain conditions. The game has excellent graphics and sounds, and pleasant music.
In short, if you are looking for an enjoyable and challenging hidden-object game, Escape The Emerald Star may be an excellent choice.
