Egis is a network activity monitoring tool for the Mac. It displays all the network connections that are active and it can be configured to refresh every 5 seconds so that you can see new connections as well.
If you right- click on any connection, a small pop-up window will appear with all the information pertaining to that connection. You can click on any field to copy that information to the clipboard.
This app has only one setting that you can change, and that is the refresh rate. The only available value is 5 seconds. From the toolbar, you can access Mac OS X's Activity Monitor; and that is all you can do.
I honestly believe that $34.99 is a bit expensive, especially when there are other similar apps out there with a lot more functionality. Little Snitch comes to mind, and that one has notifications, voice warnings, and more useful features.
Pros
- It groups connections established by app
- It gives you quick access to information
- Nice interface
Cons
- No notifications
- A little expensive
