DVD Hunter is a Mac OS X application that allows you to organize your DVD collection in an intuitive way. With it you can catalog and sort your movies by title, genre, director, writer, starring actors and more. It allows you to easily create your own movie database.
DVD Hunter has a well-designed user interface that is also very intuitive to use. On the left side of the user interface there are three folders. The first one is the Library folder that contains all the movies. When adding a movie there are certain fields that need to be filled such as title, genre, producer, director, studio, writer, rating and more. If you don't want to waste your time filling these fields you can use the Autocomplete feature. The program connects with Amazon online, finds your title and automatically fills the information. The next folder is for movies that have been borrowed. This way you can keep track of what movies you've lent to your friends. The third one is the Wishlist folder. This allows you to keep a list of the movies you want to add to your database. DVD Hunter also enables you to create your own lists in the form of smart lists. This can be very useful because you can create a list of movies with your favorite actor, director and so on.
If you own a large DVD collection, DVD Hunter can be helpful for you. It's fast, accurate and most of all it's free.
