This application is a download manager and accelerator designed for Mac. The program comes as an alternative to using the download manager of your default web browser for fetching data from the web.
Download Shuttle comes with a user-friendly interface, supports batch processing, and features easy-to-configure settings. The application also allows you to schedule download tasks for later.
In my testing, the utility worked flawlessly. I had no problems configuring its settings according to my needs. Plus, it immediately downloaded the large files I needed, without slowing down my Mac in the process.
The only feature I'd add to this program would be the ability to load files that contain URLs and download the data immediately. This option would come in handy if you need to immediately fetch a large amount of files, with separate download URLs.
Other than that, nothing bad can be said about this program. It completes any given task within moments, lets you schedule downloads, and comes without a price tag. In my opinion, you should give it a try and see how it works. You have nothing to lose.
