This program is an efficient download manager created for Mac by the FIPLAB company. Download Shuttle comes with a very intuitive interface, supports batch processing, has easy to configure settings, and uses a small amount of your CPU resources while fetching data.

You can drag-and-drop the download URLs over the app's interface or click the Add button from the upper side of the main screen to start fetching the data you need. The utility can break the file you wish to download into as many segments as you like. By doing so, it reduces the amount of time you wait for the data to be downloaded to your Mac.

In my testing, the program immediately fetched the necessary files, without slowing down my computer in the process. I liked the fact that I could import multiple URLs for download.

Another important aspect is that the application supports URLs that require authentication. You just need to enter your credentials one time and then you can start downloading the files you need.

All in all, I think this utility is a smart addition to your collection of Mac applications if you download data from the Web frequently. It's very simple to handle and configure, offers you the data you need within moments, and is free.
