DoOneThing is a simple Menu Bar tool that reminds you of which tasks you need to complete until the end of the day. This program might prove to be of good use whenever it's imperative to finish an assignment at the office before your work hours are done.
After you launch the application, it adds an icon to your Menu Bar from where you can control the way it operates. From there you can change the task info that's gonna be displayed next to your Menu Bar items (clock, WIFI icon, etc.), mark the current assignment as completed, and reveal or hide the program's icon from the Dock.
Personally, I like that the developers kept things very simple when it came to designing the app, as DoOneThing is very easy to handle. Nevertheless, the fact that this program is so simple might not woo some Mac users. To be more exact, the app lacks important features that might come in handy, such as the ability to set a deadline for the current task, add more assignments to a list, etc.
However, if you're happy with what DoOneThing has to offer, I'd say you could give it a try. If not, you can find plenty of similar apps but with more features that could help you get the results you require.
