Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why do I just get whatever number is in the DMX address box when I print?
A: This is because you need to first click in the address list before trying to print otherwise it just prints the DMX address box. This is something I plan to fix I'm just not sure how yet.
Q: Why does switch 10 never change?
A: Switch 10 is used as a mode switch in most DMX equipment. Normally off is DMX and on is a manual control of some sort. This of course should be confirmed with the manual.
Q: Why can I not get switch setting for address 512?
A: This is because with a DIP switch addressing system the highest possible address is 511. This is normally not a problem since most devices that use DMX have more than one channel so you really can't use 512 as a start address anyway. You should check with your manual and make sure that you do not need to do any math to the address before determining the switches.
