DjVu Reader Pro is intended for viewing DjVu and PDF documents. Luckily, the tool is so similar to other document readers that there is practically nothing you would not know how to do from the start. Still, there is an accompanying User Manual, although poorly written.
The reader’s interface is straightforward and with a clean layout. Most of the space in the window is devoted to viewing the contents of the opened document. Likewise, you can adjust the zooming level to your needs. Unluckily, there are no tabs to open various simultaneous documents on the same window. On the left, there is the Contents pane, from where you can view page thumbnails and manage bookmarks. It is also where it is possible to search for given terms within the document.
There are various advantages you can get from using this product. First, it loads DjVu documents very quickly and without distortions, something you cannot always get from other readers. Second, it can convert DjVu documents to TXT and PDF format. In the specific case of PDFs, there is no quality loss, though it cannot compress the document, resulting in excessive file size at times. Third, the tool allows selecting text fragments and images and copying them to the clipboard, ready to paste on other applications. Finally, it is good that you can print the documents from within the reader.
In short, DjVu Reader Pro may be the application you have been looking for to read your DjVu documents. It is fast and reliable and comes with several additional features. The product should be bought from the Mac App Store. Besides, there is a version for iOS portable devices.
