DiskActivity is a visual indicator to see when the drive is being accessed. Having this application running from the menu bar, there's no need to open the activity monitor every time to check for your drives.

With this tool, you can detect unusual drive activity right from the menu bar. It can be used to track only a particular drive or multiple drives together.
