This program was designed for Mac users who are dealing with a large amount of documents and folders on their desktops. The utility provides you with a quick and efficient way to organize the items within your screen into groups based on any criteria you prefer. For example, you can sort the files and folders you use at office in a group named Work.
Desktop Groups doesn't provide you with an actual interface. Instead, it allows you to create multiple group screens where you can add the files and folders you wish to organize. If you close a group, all of its components are immediately sent to your desktop.
The app also gives you access to an "Options" panel where you can configure group windows settings according to your needs. You can choose the preferred file icon size, adjust grid spacing and window opacity levels, and much more.
Another thing I like is that you can resize and move group windows with minimum effort. Plus, the program doesn't slow down the performance of your Mac while you're moving or creating file groups on your desktop.
Personally, I'm very happy with this application as it offers me a very simple solution for organizing my desktop files and folders. And since it comes with a reasonable price, I can't find any reason why you shouldn't buy it for your Mac.
