Once in a while in a man's life there comes a time when your hard drive is running out of space on your computer. You empty Recycling Bin and uninstall a couple of programs, but the problem stays. But there is a program to solve your problem, its called DaisyDisk.
DaisyDisk scans your storage medium, whether it is a hard drive, a USB thumbdrive, or a CD/DVD, to index all the files and their sizes. The results are shown in an interactive pie chart, where your can see all files represented by their sizes. It is now easy to figure out what is eating up all the space and take care of the problem.
The installation of the program only took a few seconds. During the first run, it detected all of the storage medias I had on my computer. The results are easily understood and it's fun to play with.
Sidenote: it is quite a useful program and has a good interface. It works on Mac OS X 10.5 and higher. I would consider this program as "use it once a year or less", but not a bad tool to have for just in case.
