Cypt is an easy-to-use application that helps you secure the content of your files so unauthorized users can't have access to private information. Therefore, the tool allows you to encrypt and respectively, decrypt files using the PGP cryptographic method.

The app has a clear-cut and easy-to-manage user interface. First, you need to generate the encryption key which will be saved as a stand-alone file at a computer location of your choice. You can use the same key multiple times with different files you want to encrypt. Securing the data of a file is very easy. You just need to load the file you wish to protect, select the public key you have already created, and enable the encryption. The tool automatically generates a new file with an unreadable ciphertext. This new file can be securely shared over the Internet without being afraid that the content can be disclosed. Only users having the right key can convert the text back into the original form on their device. The good thing is that the encrypted file doesn't overwrite the original file. So, you won't lose the information in case you lose the decryption key. However, a history of generated keys with the ability to recover them in case of accidental lost would have been appropriate.

To conclude, Cypt offers a convenient solution to share files securely online. It can easily encrypt the content of sensitive files and protect the data when transferring information via Internet from one device to another.
