cmdQuit is a system utility that lets you manage your running apps. It was designed to let you easily shut down your Mac when multiple apps are running. If you have been using a Mac for some time, you have probably seen the error that prevents you from shutting down your Mac because there is an open application. One of the features of this application is to close all the running applications.
When you run cmdQuit, you will see a bar with five buttons on it. The first button displays all the running applications. A new window will come up with a list of the running apps. The second button can be used to close all of the running applications. When you click it, a new window will also come up, showing those apps and asking you whether you really want to close them all. The middle button can be used to shut down your Mac. The last two buttons can hide and show all the applications.
In my testing, most of the features worked well. The first time that I clicked on "Show running applications" I had to wait a couple of seconds for the window to come up, which made me think the application wasn't working. The "close all apps" button didn't really work for me. When I clicked it, most applications were closed, but other weren't.
