1.6.1 (See all)

CloudPlay is an app that lets you find and stream songs from a variety of sites. It can search for songs on iTunes, YouTube, SoundCloud, Jamendo, Official.fm, exfm and a few other sites. CouldPlay runs quietly on the menubar. When you click its icon, a small window will pop up from where you can enter a few keywords to find your favorite songs. It will return results from all the available websites as you type your keywords. The results will be grouped into website. Usually, the first results are from YouTube, SoundCloud and exfm. I found that the best matches to my search keywords were results from exfm. Next to each result, you will see how long the song is. For results from YouTube, you can click on a small button that will take you to the YouTube video, which is great for concerts and music videos.

CloudPlay lets you create custom playlists from search results. You first need to create the playlists, and then you can add songs to them by clicking on a small button next to each result.

I left this app running for quite a while and I have to say that I didn't experience any playback problems with it. All the songs that I added to my playlist played one by one, with little to no buffering time. The quality of the songs varied a bit, but they were all acceptable.

In conclusion, CloudPlay is a great way to listen to music when you have an Internet connection available.
