This application isn't exactly what its name implies. Even though it features support for Cloud services, this program's purpose is to help you take snapshots, record screen activity, and easily share your results by offering other users direct download URLs to your screenshot or videos.

The first thing you need to do is to log in to your CloudApp account. You can create a personal account directly from the app's interface if needed. After you enter your credentials and log in, you can start capturing your screen activity.

The utility lives on your Menu Bar from where you can select which type of task you wish to complete (take snapshot, record screen or generate an animated GIF), configure the app's settings according to your needs, and check the log data. You can use the defined global hotkeys to immediately start a certain task, annotate screenshots, and mark your favorite results as Favorites.

Another advantage is that as soon as you finish recording your desktop or taking a snapshot, the application automatically generates a download URL for the files. You can then send the link to anyone you want to view your screenshot, GIF or video recording. The utility also lets you share your projects via email or social networking accounts.

CloudApp supports only 3 output formats: GIF, PNG for snapshots, and MOV for video tutorials. Another aspect that's worth mentioning is that you need to make a payment on the homepage of the developer to get access to more useful features and unlock certain app options. In my opinion, it's definitely worth making the purchase if you plan on using this app often. Otherwise, you can continue using this basic version of the utility and get the quality results you need within moments.
