Few users are aware of Mac's Terminal application and even fewer are tempted to use it. Clix steps in to reveal some of the hidden powers of the command line as well as make it more appealing to users.

The application offers an interface to the rugged command line along with the means for managing multiple scripts.

With Clix you will no longer have to remember long commands; you can simply look them up by their title, category or description entries. For commands that require admin privileges, the addition of your password and Sudo (from the file menu or keyboard shortcut) will make sure your scripts will not have any restrictions for the reminder of session.

Terminal commands may look intimidating, but with this tool I was able to familiarize myself with simple to complex syntaxes by just looking over the sample commands.

Clix includes a wide range ready-made scripts comprehensively divided among operating system versions and categories. Moreover, it comes in a choice of both 32 and 64 bit universal binaries.

The utility allows users to save scripts under its own format (*.clix), which is great for managing purposes but the downside is that only Clix can open them. While this provides a great introduction to Unix based commands, the application is equally suitable for power-users thanks to its management capabilities.
