Working With Chapter Tracks
ChapterWork projects contain one or more chapter tracks. A chapter track contains one or more marker to index locations in your movie.
Managing Chapter Tracks
Movies typically contain only one chapter track. However, ChapterWork lets you create an unlimited number of chapter tracks within your movie.
To add a new track, choose Tracks > Add Chapter Track or click the Add Chapter Track Button ("+") next to the Chapter Track Table header.
The change a track’s name, click the entry in the Track Table to enter edit mode and modify to the name accordingly.
To remove a Chapter Track, select the track and press the Delete key or choose Tracks > Remove Chapter Track from the main menu.
To duplicate a Chapter Track, select the track and choose Tracks > Duplicate Chapter Track from the main menu.
Modifying Chapter Track Settings
Each chapter track has two attributes.
The Language pop-up button associates a language the selected chapter track. The list of languages is derived from the preferred language in the user’s system preferences, along with any other languages that may already be present in the movie.
The Assigned Track pop-up button lets you link the current chapter track with another track, already present in the movie
Setting the Default Chapter Track
When ChapterWork creates an output file from your project, all chapter tracks are packaged as a track group inside your movie. Within a track group only one track can be active at a time. The active track is determine by a variety of media selection factors, including the track language.
The Default Chapter Track pop-up menu lets you select which chapter track will be the default active track when no other media selection factors are in play.
