Captur is a simple-to-handle Menu Bar application that enables you to take snapshots of your screen, a window of software, or the Dashboard. This program comes in handy whenever you need to make a selfie with your built-in camera, save an offline copy of a certain webpage or capture the entire screen and share the snapshot with other users.
You can choose from various image capturing methods (window, screen, Dashboard, timed, and area), add time and date to the taken screenshots, and export snapshots to plenty of output formats (JPG, PNG, BMP, TIFF, and GIF). I like the fact that you can configure the program to automatically hide the mouse cursor from any created snapshot.
Another good thing about this screen capture tool is that after taking a screenshot it lets you decide whether to save a picture or not and gives you direct access to Mac's Preview app where you can alter the photo according to your needs.
The only aspect I don't like is that you can't set global hotkeys for taking screenshots.
To conclude, Captur proves to be a reliable solution when it comes to taking screenshots on your Mac computer. The app brings you easy to configure output settings, lets you save the results to various image formats, and comes with a reasonable price.
