Capto is a capable screen capturing utility developed for Mac. With its help, you can take snapshots of your desktop and record video tutorials. This program might prove to be of good use if you need to save a copy of a Skype conference, capture a window from your screen or record a game walkthrough. Either way, it provides you with the quality results you need within moments.

You can use various global hotkeys to control how the application operates (first, you need to enable its correspondent Accessibility option from the System Preferences panel). These shortcut keys can always be changed from the Preferences panel of the program. They're also listed on the main menu of the utility from your status bar.

My only issue with this application is that it supports only 2 output formats when it comes to exporting your video recordings (MP4 or MOV). Still, these 2 formats are very popular and supported by a wide variety of video editing tools and players.
