Info updated on:

Capo is an audio tool that provides you with a simple solution for learning how to play your favorite songs. This Mac program automatically detects the chords of any audio file you import from your iTunes library or local directories and immediately offers you the tablature you require for studying and playing the song yourself.

You can drag-and-drop songs directly from the iTunes app or your local folders over Capo's Dock icon. Afterwards, the program starts analyzing the imported tune and reveals its correspondent tablature. The application comes with an integrated audio player which allows you to listen to the loaded song while you're playing it on your guitar or piano.

A very important aspect is that Capo features options to exclude vocals from the imported tunes, mute music or attach notes to the tablature. What's more, it enables you to slow down playback without affecting the pitch.

Other useful features include the support for numerous audio formats and drag-and-drop actions, the ability to use a metronome built-in tool while playing the song, and much more.

With that being said, you should definitely give this program a try if you're looking for an easy way to learn how to play one of your favorite songs by using instruments like guitars, pianos, etc. The application provides you with many helpful features, works flawlessly, and is affordable.

Regarding the comment, "Nothing happens when you click the Share button from the app's interface" — this is because the song wasn't first saved as a Project. In order to share the Project, it first must be saved.

Requirements for update to 2.1.8 are not specified on the developer website but it looks as if 2.1.7 is the last version to be compatible with Snow Leopard (OSX 10.6).
