BusyCal is a great calendar application for the Mac. It surpasses iCal in every aspect that I can think and the developers of this app rightly call it iCal Pro. It is just so much better than the original Mac iCal. Perhaps its best advantage over iCal is that BusyCal makes things easier for users.
When I first launched BusyCal, I noticed a few things that really surprised me. The first of them was that it automatically imported all my events from iCal. That was a great surprise and a lot of time saved. Another thing that I noticed was that BusyCal showed me weather information right on the calendar. It looks like you get weather info for 5 days (current day plus four). You can change the city and the weather settings from the preferences menu, but I couldn't get the temperature to show in Celsius and in my current city.
There are lots of features that make BusyCal a great app. It allows you to sync it with Google Calendar and other calendars on your home network. It has support for To-Do lists and events that will automatically move forward in your Calendar until you complete them. There is support for sticky notes and graphics inside your events.
All in all, this is a great replacement calendar for your Mac. It has lots of features and it works very well. I recommend it.
