Bus Driver is a very nice bus driving simulation for the Mac. This game is unlike anything I have seen before, with the exception of a game called Tokyo Bus Guide, which was released for the Dreamcast, long ago. In Bus Driver, you drive a variety of buses through city bus routes. Your goal is to transport passengers safely from the start of the route to the end. The way you drive, and how fast you do, determines how many points you will get after finishing your route. You need to stop at bus stops and pick up passengers opening the bus doors and closing them when all the passengers are inside. You are supposed to stay on the same lane at all times, and use blinkers when you are going to switch lanes. Of course, there are traffic lights and speed limits. If you fail to drive like a bus driver would, you will get penalties. Those happen when you stop too suddenly, when you crash, when you go out of your lane, etc.
There are many different types of missions, different buses which behave differently and when your bus is filled, passengers stand in it. So you have to be careful not to go too fast, or they will fall and get injured.
In short, this is a very nice game, but shouldn't be played as if it were a racing game. Players who don't have patience might as well skip this one entirely. However, there aren't many games like Bus Driver, and that is why I recommend it.
