BluePort creates a regular MIDI input on your Mac, so all your applications and virtual instruments will work with it. You're free to use your dock connector for something else while playing. The new Bluetooth LE standard has low latency, making controlling, triggering, or even live-playing from your iPhone or iPad possible.
